A couple of maintenance releases, which basically boild down to the addition of support for a new LCD type, ILI9338. The support was implemented and tested by ChinaChip, I just prepared the dual boot installer and added the new zImage to the old system package.

Thanks booboo, which pmp use this lcd type?
ReplyDeletePresumably A320. Should mean that A320 is back to production, but I'm awaiting confirmation from ChinaChip.

Thanks booboo. I just received my A320 and it's an ILI9338 LCD.
ReplyDeleteTime to try the dual boot installer ...
@MbMax: could you please tell where did you purchase it from?
ReplyDelete@booboo: it's a sample test sent by iSmartDS team from hong-kong, so i don't know from which shop it comes from. I could ask them more details if you wish.
ReplyDeleteBTW, i successfully installed the dual boot yesterday and i'm currently trying the Z4 distro so i can compare how fast the IsmartLinux plugin is compared to the real A320.
Dunno if it's tied to the new LCD but the brightness is very low when i run dingux.
ReplyDeleteAlso, when i use the shutdown option (dmenu from the Z4 distro), i can see the shutdown process and "You can now safely turn off the power" but the power button has no effect. I must use the reset emergency button to reboot and shutdown properly.
Have you given up on the x760+?
ReplyDeleteThe A320 is back in stock on dealextreme.
ReplyDeleteI suppose it's the new ILI9338 LCD.
Thanks booboo, I bought my Dingoo on DealExtreme and it's a ILI9338 for LCD screen
ReplyDeleteI have a question... I have the ILI9338 and the power off in dingux doesn´t work. Any idea why?
