Traveling to China

I'm leaving tomorrow to HK/China, where I'll be meeting the ChinaChip people. Will be back in a week, but will try to update as time permits on anything relevant to dingux on the GA330.

UPDATE: Paris CDG airport is da bomb. At least in terminal E where I am as I write this, plenty of places to lay and take a nap, massage chairs, PS3 for entertainment (free). The 5 hours I have to wander here suddenly don't feel so uphill.

They even have 10 minute free wifi. Too bad it's only 10 minutes. Unless you disconnect, clear the browser cookies, change the WiFi interface MAC address, and connect again, of course. You didn't read that here.

sudo ifconfig wlan0 hw ether [your previous MAC + 1]

  2. @Xeatheran

    Nope. Should be no problem, I'll be hosted and assisted by the nice CC people.

    @Olaf

    HK/China meaning I'll land in HK, enter China, stay there a few days, be back to HK and take off.

    Regarding the x760+... are you serious?.

    CC has provided info on the A320, x760+ and GA330, and is willing to support linux development on those platforms, up to the point of not only kindly providing code and schematics but also to bring me to China to meet them in person and discuss the details. This is a big move on their part that I appreciate very much. Do you really expect me to postpone the trip and tell them to wait until the x760+ port is ready?. Come on.

    That said, I'm still working as time permits (which is not much) on the x760+ display driver. It works in a completely different way than the A320 one, so it's no piece of cake.

    And mind you, the serial-port-ḿodified x760+ and the serial port USB converter are flying with me, so don't worry, chances are that most spare time I have in China I will be working on the x760+.

    @booboo

    I think he was just asking about any progress on it, i mean we have been waiting well over a year tbh i think its odd that people with an x760+ still bother coming here to check updates after so long.

    But anyway enjoy your trip to china, take pics hehe
